Post Help with Blood and Curses builds

Hello creatures of unspeakable horror, thanks for the help with my MM build now I am looking for help with my Blood build and Curses build.

I got the idea for this build from

http://guildwarsguru.com/forum/showt...452#post744452

Life Siphon
Shadow Strike
Vampire Gaze
Awaken the Blood
Putrid Explosion
Demonic Flesh
Well of Blood

Got an extra slot thinking of putting Spiteful Spirit in because that skill is cool.. I would rather have Life Transfer here however I'm not up to Iron Mines or Thunderhead missions yet, but other suggestions are welcome.

I was also thinking about a curses build and I found this one

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...d.php?t=124947

Demonic Flesh/Spinal Shivers
Awaken The Blood
Blood Renewal/Spinal Shivers
Vampiric Gaze
Enfeebling Blood
Well Of Blood/Blood Ritual (For groups with corpse users)
Spiteful Spirit
Arcane Echo

Now that I am thinking about it, I dunno how curses will do without a party (I solo a lot, sometimes I take henches).

I think it is good to say up front that most of the time I will probably be solo exploring/questing(at least in the early areas), however I wouldn't mind input into the party aspect.

Or maybe there is a combo of curses and blood I'm not seeing?

Credit goes where credit is due, mainly not to me but the people who made the builds I got the ideas from. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Edit - Just incase it comes up, I dont pvp so I don't even consider that when thinking of build ideas.

I use a general N/Me curse/blood build with 11+1 blood, 6+1 soul reaping and 12+1+3 curses

skillbar:
life siphon(or vamp gaze), arcane echo, Spiteful spirit, desecrate ench, strip ench, spinal shivers, blood ritual, res sig. Lots of folks will swap out spot 1 for awaken the blood, but I prefer just direct damage for enemy healers...

You can get quite close with N/mo and be nearly as effective offensively also swap the arcane echo for shadow of fear/suffering and then you'll have the option to run a hard res.

Of course you WILL want a death cesta/staff in weapon swap for the cold damage to trigger spinal.

Even (especially) with henchies spiteful ownzors.

I would lose Spinal Shivers and Demonic Flesh. Spinal Shivers makes you lose energy per hit and it only works when Cold Damage is inflicted. If you party with henchies, its useless. Demonic Flesh grants you a temporary amount of health, but at a sacrifice of life. Sadly, when you are under the influence of awaken the blood both Demonic Flesh and Blood Renewal may kill you if you use them too late.

Mark Of Subversion is good vs spellcasters
The Combination of Enfeeble + Insidious Parasite is awesome
Parasidic Bond is good for a health boost
Spiteful Spirit is always good, but you said you liked Life Transfer

I couldn't help notice you have Archane Echo, does this mean you are a mesmer as well?

You could go with signet of midnight + price of failure (more misses = more damage)

Hope this helps.

Cool

Oh yeah shoulda posted that, I am a Mesmer secondary. Good info so far guys, keep it coming!

Edit: I figured Life Transfer would just go better since the blood build I posted is almost totally blood, but Spiteful Spirit does sound like a very sexy skill.

SS WILL deal immensly more damage when used correctly than Life Transfer, but without the self heal, why I usually carry siphon... with good human monks not an issue though so you can bring awaken the blood to up the damage on SS and desecrate.

Awaken the Blood
Desecrate Enchantments
Enfeebling Blood
Insidious Parasite
Spiteful Spirit
Vampiric Gaze
Well of Blood

This is what I came up with after reading the info you guys have given me so far, I'm thinking I might take out Well of Blood for Siphon Life or I suppose I could just put Siphon Life in the empty slot but I dont think I need both skills.

I keep wanting to put in Putrid Explosion but being a Death Magic skill it doesnt really fit in. Parasidic Bond maybe? Feel like I need some more spike damage, but that probally just comes from me wanting to be balanced.

I run nothing but blood necro for PvE (taint and orders for pvp) and the best help i can give you is always keep a wildcard slot. this slot is usually based off group and the layout of the arena your going into. for example, i would always bring life siphon as you can stack it for your own healing. for missions like thunderhead, thirsty river, bring Well of Blood. for FoW, Dunes, Iron Mines i bring blood rit. for missions where there is no dedicated inturupter, i bring mark of subversion for the npc monks. You will find that keeping a wildcard slot will always allow you to be a usefull asset in any group. I do use Life Transfer for the most part in PvE, since your a N/Me try to find a build set that works in blood. there is no real inturupt skill in the necro blood set, so maybe for your wildcard bring cry of frustration. the main part of a blood necro is battery in PvE, and you will find that a battery necro is just as needed as monks in high end missions and instances.

soul barbs
insidious parasite
faintheartedness
mark of pain
parasitic bond
